How long does a commission take?

From order to finished artwork, plan on about a week for me to create your piece, plus printing and shipping time on top of that. You'll hear from me at each step, starting with a digital sketch for your approval.

What's included in the price?

Every Signature Portrait includes your custom hand-drawn artwork, a museum-quality archival print, and a high-resolution digital file of the finished piece. Pricing is $375 for 8x10 and $475 for 11x14.

What photos should I send?

Upload 2 to 5 reference photos when you place your order. For the best likeness, choose well-lit images with minimal shadows or filters, skip heavy editing or beauty modes, and include at least one clear close-up of the face along with a full-length shot for posture and outfit. More angles help me capture the details accurately.

How many revisions do I get?

Your order includes one round of revisions on the digital sketch before it's finalized and sent to print. If you'd like additional rounds, just let me know and I can accommodate that for a small added fee.

Can I get a size other than 8x10 or 11x14?

Yes. If you're looking for something larger, reach out through the contact page and I'll put together a custom quote.

Question 6

Can I include more than one person, or add a pet?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Add 'Additional Subject' (+$50) at checkout for each additional person or pet you'd like included in the piece.

Question 7

What about the background?

A simple background is included with every portrait. If you have something specific in mind, florals, a particular setting, or a color palette, use the notes field at checkout to describe it.

What if I need to cancel my order?

Accepted Answer

If you cancel within 24 hours of placing your order, you'll receive a full refund. Once work has begun on your sketch, a design fee is retained to cover that time and the remainder is refunded. Once you've approved your final sketch, your piece moves into production and can no longer be canceled or refunded, since it's created specifically for you.

How will my portrait be shipped, and how do I take care of it once it arrives?

Domestic orders ship via USPS Priority Mail with tracking. International shipping is available to select destinations; customs fees and import duties are the customer's responsibility. Prints are shipped rolled in a protective tube. Give it a little time to unroll flat before framing for the best results.

Who owns the rights to my finished portrait?

I retain copyright of the original artwork I create. Your purchase includes a print and/or digital file for your personal, non-commercial use. I may also share images of finished commissions in my portfolio and on social media; if you'd prefer to keep yours private, just let me know when you order and I'm glad to honor that.

Do you offer refunds once my portrait is finished?

Because every piece is made to order and created specifically for you, finished commissions are final sale, aside from printing defects or damage that happens in shipping. If either of those happens, reach out within 7 days of delivery and I'll make it right.
