Shipping & Delivery

Every commission is made to order. Please allow approximately 1 week for the creation of your artwork, followed by printing and shipping time, which varies by destination.

Domestic orders ship via USPS Priority Mail with tracking provided by email once your piece has shipped. International shipping is available to select destinations; customs fees, duties, and import taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

If your print arrives damaged in transit, contact info@oliveandrose.art within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damaged item and packaging, and we'll arrange a replacement print at no additional cost.

Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Because each portrait is a custom, made-to-order piece created specifically for you, finished commissions are final sale and not eligible for return or refund, except in cases of printing defects or shipping damage as described above.

Before your sketch is approved, you may cancel your order for a partial refund: a full refund is available within 24 hours of placing your order; after work has begun on your sketch, a $75 design fee is retained and the remainder refunded.

If you do not respond to a sketch-approval request within 30 days, we'll follow up once by email. If we don't hear back within 14 days of that follow-up, your order will be considered abandoned and is non-refundable, as time and materials have already been committed to your piece.

Revisions

Every Signature Portrait includes up to 3 rounds of revisions on your digital sketch before it's finalized and sent to print. Once you approve the final sketch, the piece moves to production and further changes are not included.

Additional revisions beyond the 3 included rounds, or changes requested after final approval, can be accommodated for an additional fee of $50 per round.

Reference Photos

You'll be asked to upload 2 to 5 reference photos for your commission. By submitting photos, you confirm that:

• You own the rights to the photo, or have permission from the photographer/rights holder to use it for this purpose.
• You have the right to request a portrait of any person(s) or pet(s) depicted, and, for anyone under 18, that you are their parent, legal guardian, or have the guardian's permission.

We reserve the right to decline a commission if submitted photos appear to infringe on someone else's copyright or depict a minor without appropriate consent.

Intellectual Property

Olive & Rose retains copyright ownership of all original artwork created for a commission. Your purchase includes a physical print and/or digital file for personal, non-commercial use; it does not transfer copyright or grant rights to reproduce, sell, or commercially license the artwork.

We may photograph, share, and use images of your finished commission in our portfolio, website, and social media, unless you request otherwise. If you'd prefer your piece not be shared publicly, let us know when placing your order and we're happy to keep it private.

Living Portrait Licensing (when available)

Where a commission includes a Living Portrait film, the film, including any licensed music included with it, is provided for your personal, non-commercial use (viewing, sharing on personal social media, and private display). It may not be resold, redistributed for commercial purposes, or used in advertising without separate permission.

Privacy

We collect the personal information needed to create and deliver your commission: your name, email address, shipping address, and the reference photos and notes you provide. We use this information only to fulfill your order, communicate with you about it, and, if you opt in, send occasional studio updates.

Your information is shared only with the services that power our store and never sold to third parties: our e-commerce platform (Shopify), secure file storage for uploaded photos, and payment processing at checkout. Payment details are handled directly by our checkout provider and are never stored on our systems.

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@oliveandrose.art.

General Terms

Prices are listed in USD and subject to change without notice; the price at the time of your order is the price you'll be charged. Payment in full is due at checkout to begin your commission. All artwork descriptions and images on this site are our best representation of the finished piece, but hand-illustrated work will have natural, minor variation from any preview shown.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
